Virgil sadly passed away from cancer in 2021. "That was such a huge deal because just culturally so seismic," executive producer and writer Maurice Williams added. "And when it came time to do Entergalactic, I knew that, in order for us to have the freshness, I knew I had to hire someone who was just focused on wardrobe.
"Virgil has been a huge inspiration for me," Scott said in a Netflix clip. In order to create looks that brought the characters to life, Scott recruited Louis Vuitton's artistic director, Virgil Abloh, to come on board as the costume designer for the project.
Unlike many animated shows and films, Entergalactic shows its characters sporting a variety of wardrobe pieces rather than consistently repeating the same outfits.
